Thank U

Unfortunately this is the last card I made for the cardkit club. I really enjoyed being part of the designteam. So I wanna thank Karin for choosing me. It was really great to work with the goodies from the kits you sent.
And I also want to thank the other teammembers, Kelly, Heike and Desíre for the inspiration and the lovely comments.

This is my last card. Doesn't the image look familiar Karin? It was not part of the kit. I colored it with distress ink, I'm already getting better doing this. The white accents I made with a gelpen that is also part of the kit. The handmade paper, brads and the alpha's are from my own stash, but all the other things are from the kit. The photo is a bit blurry, i'll try to make a better one tomorrow.

And I wish you all a happy and healthy new year!

Birthday card

This is the first card I made from the kit, but the third one I show you. My daughter picked the image and I used her colors for it. Isn't it sweet? The only thing that's not from the kit is a piece from a cardboard box. I painted it with gesso.

I wish everybody a very happy and creative Christmas!

Loes

I chose the same picture as Kelly to make a card. I bought some distress ink and this is the first creation I made with it. I have to practice more, I'm sorry if it's not neatly enough.

For this card I used the red and brown papers. Aren't those colors grat? The pin, ribbons, flowers and the spacers are also from the kit. I added the lace, glitters, twigs and brad myself.

From the new kit

I'm very sorry that Karin isn't able to continue the cardkit club, I really enjoy making cards and other things for the club. She had to make a difficult choice and I understand that.

Fortunately we still have the december kit. This kit is the last, but not the least! I love the gorgeous paper from Bo Bunny, and all the goodies that com with it. I already made two cards, but today I'll show you one of them. Everything I used was in the kit, except fot the chipboard hearts and the brad (it's from the september kit). I painted the hearts and used glitter on them.

December Kit and a sad announcement

Hi everyone,

it's December and that means a new kit.
This months kit contains some yummie papers from Bo-Bunny which can be used for all kind of cards.

The kit is called LOVE BANDIT and can be ordered right now.

And now for the sad part of this post. The December kit will be the last kit. There have been some changes in my personal life lately (nothing serious) but because of those changes I have less time to spend on my favorite things. I've tried to keep doing the things I did in less time but that only results in being tired all the time and having bad headaches.
It was not easy to make that decission but it's one I had to make for my own good.

So I hope you enjoy this last kit.

This kit contains:
3 pieces of cardstock (6 x 12)
5 pieces of Patterned paper ( 6 x 12)
1 chipboard tree
1 gel marker
6 flowers
2 punched flowers (Nellie Snellen)
16 punched flowers ( 4 sizes and 4 colours) from Crealies
1 stamp
4 pieces of ribbon
2 pins
6 buttons
charms
spacers
and some extra items

This kit can be ordered by sending me a email for €20,00 (excluding shippingcosts).

xoxo Karin

November23_2009_MCKC

Everything is from this colorful kit except for the image & sentiment (Plum Purdy) and the Stickles and Scribblez.
Please don't pay attention to the smudge on top of her hat...it smeared when I added the glitter and Scribblez.

A while ago I won some frosted cards and so far I never used them. They are perfect for a winter card. I embossed a piece of white cardstock and sewed it on the frosted card. Everything else, except for the lace, was in the lovely november kit.

Merry Xmas

My contribution of this week is a Christmas card. The card and the trees are made of a box. I tore the designpaper and painted the edges to make it look like snow. I really love the orange and blue papers from the november kit.

*Sweet snowman-box*

Today I would like to show you another creation with the wonderful November Cardkit. I make a sweet Box for "yummy chocolate", you can find all the papers and embellishments in the Kit. The sweet snowman is from Magnolia, isn't he cute??? I make the backside from the box with the cute ice bear stamp and silver ink-pad, you can find this stamp in the kit.

XMAS JOY
Here's a second card I created with my yummy November Kit. Two of the trees have been created with the iris folding technique ... love the happy and bright colour combo of this kit ... and doesn't those stars look like they are twinkling ... definitely puts one in a festive mood. Joy was created with a stamp from one of my acrylic stamp sets.

CHRISTMAS ... The best of times
Hi, its Desire here ... I was so excited when the Postman delivered my gorgeous November Kit all the way from the Netherlands to me here in Johannesburg, South Africa. Thank you so much Karin. No time was wasted and I just could not help but start creating with all the yummy goodies in this month's kit.
The only items on this creation that was not in the kit, are the 4 orange brads and the plain pink and teal cardstock forming the outside borders of the card. The 'best of times' circle was stamped with an acrylic stamp from my personal stash. The circle embellishments were created with 3 circle punches and it was a joy to sand the edges of the various double sided patterned cardstock in this kit.
Must say it was quite strange creating a winter Xmas card as we celebrate Xmas here in South Africa right in the middle of a sizzling summer.

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to look at the design teams' creations here. I am sure all my fellow design team members agree that Karin really manage to fill the monthly kits with loads of goodies to keep our creativity on a roll.

Nov 5: Heike and Loes

The november kit contains sweet winter and Christmas paper. I used the eskimo die cut for this card. I stitched the pieces of paper on the cardstock. To create the snow I used gesso and the glitter that was in my kit. I also used this on the die cut. It was really fun making this card.

For few days my wonderful November Kit arrived. Wow, this is so sweet and lovely composed from Karin, and i love the Papers from "My Minds Eye" so much. I color the cute Henry with my Copic's. You can combine the Kit with many each other things and i love this so much.

Oct 29: Loes

Yesterday a babygirl was born in our street. I didn't have a card yet, so I made a babycard from the october kit. I chose to make a vintage card this time, because the grandmother of the baby owns a little antique shop. The base of the card is a die cut tag from the kit. I didn't use designpaper, accept for the leaves. I downloaded the sweet vintage image from the internet. The roses and the gem are from my own stash, all the other things are availeble in the great october kit. I really enjoyd making the cards and the bag from the kit. I still have enough left to make some more out of it.

Thursday Oct 22: Loes and Heike

I like to distress and use paint on my cards. This is a piece of craft cardstock. I used gesso to give it a used look. Then I glued some designpaper from the kit and a piece of lace from my stash. I colored the image and sprayed some glimmermist on it to make ik look a bit old. The brads and rope are from my stash, the flowers, ribbon and spacers are, of course, from the great october kit.

xoxo Loes

I make a sweet Bag for chocolate or other goodies, you find the tutorial here. The papers, Flowers, Embellishments, Fruitstamp and Ribbon are all from the wonderful october kit. I stamp the background from the bag with the Fruit clearstamps, you can combine the Kit with many each other things and i love this so much.

Yay!  Here I am back with my second creation from this month's beautiful Cherry Hill kit.  Although I went with apples today, there is some super fun cherry paper too!

The fun paper, red ribbon, cute little green apple button and the die cuts are all from the October Kit.

I popped cute little Tilda up as well as the apples for some added dimension and added some stickles to the ribbon on the wooden spoon and the apples for some girly sparkle.

Be sure to check out this fabulous kit while it's till available and to learn more about the club click here.

See you next week!
